Start planning your special day at Lester's Farm Chalet

Conveniently located just 15 minutes from downtown St John's and surrounded by 40 acres of natural beauty, the Chalet is the perfect location for wedding ceremonies and receptions. Available for indoor and outdoor events.

Choose from 5 or 2 course meals served to you and your guests, a country-style buffet BBQ, or a cocktail event with hor dourves, or create your own menu. The Chalet can accommodate up to 130 guests for a sit-down meal/ buffet, and 200 for cocktail reception. Couples can hire their own decorator or choose from our selection of decor. Other vendors such as DJ or Band, Wedding Commissioner , Photo Booth, Wedding Cake or Cupcakes are booked separately and can be any vendor of your choice.

Ceremony

July-September, Outdoor Ceremony: $15 per person. In case of poor weather the ceremony can take place inside the Chalet.

October-June,Indoors in the Chalet: $15 per person. Please allow for two hours in between ceremony and reception for setup.

Available for setup after 12pm with the Ceremony taking place anytime after 2pm.

Seating and use of Chalet and Grounds for photos included. Maximum seating 100 indoors, 200 outdoors.

Reception

5 Course Dinner: Charcuterie, Pasta, Salad, Main, Dessert.

2 Course Dinner: Maple Salmon/Stuffed Chicken Breast with Dessert                        

                            Stuffed Chicken Breast/Pork Tenderloin with Dessert        

                            Pork Tenderloin/Lemon Baked Cod with Dessert                       

                            Barbecued Chicken/Steak/Pork Ribs with Dessert                       

Served Buffet:     Rotisserie Hip of Beef or Rotisserie Pork with Dessert                    

Hor D'oeuvres:    ~12 pieces per guest in addition to Grazing table.

Late Night Snack: One choice for everyone; poutine, fries, pizza, tacos, nachos, mashed potato bar, sliders and even ice cream. 

Custom packages and menus as well. Accommodations can be made for guests with dietary restrictions and allergies. 

For a sitdown or buffet meal seating available for up to 130 guests, tables can be set in multiples of 8s and 12s.

For cocktail events seating of 50% provided in addition to several pub style tables throughout the room.

Bar Services

Bar services are available after the ceremony through to the end of the evening at 1am. A variety of local and imported beer, wine, and spirits available. Custom drink menu and signature drinks available as well. 

Current pricing for the cash bar (guests pay for their own drinks), cash, debit, credit, and bar tabs available. $7/beer $8/single drink $9/ draft, tallboy, wine. 

1, Open Bar, you can set a max dollar amount or set a timeframe. Sometimes couples will choose to have it during the cocktail hour or just after the formal dances are completed.

2, Wine on the tables, $30/bottle, includes glassware. We suggest one red and one white per table. The brand we use is Jackson Triggs Merlot and Pinot Grigio. If you would like a different wine, please let us know and we will provide a custom quote.

3, Toonie Bar, Guests pay $2/drink and the rest gets paid by the host at the end of the evening. 

4, Beer and Wine Bar, Guests can order beer or wine at the bar and the host pays at the end of the night.

5, Table service Beer and Wine. Servers will manage groups of tables providing beer and wine to the tables, charged to host at the end of the evening.

6, Drink tickets, $7/each can be redeemed for any drink, must be ordered and paid in advance.

Decorations 

Decorations can be rented through us, or you can hire an outside decorator.

1, Table cloth, runner, with greenery, and cloth napkins $35/Table of 8. Tables of 12 are $45

Table cloths come in white, black, or white lace.Cheesecloth Runners and napkins- available in sage green, dusty rose, modern blue, or terracotta. We can also source softyellow, eggplant, evergreen, and burgundy.

2, Centerpieces, $15/ for 3 gold candlesticks with artificial candles or black iron lanterns with real tealights (2 per table of 8)

3, Charger plates, $6/each and are available in a variety of colours and styles. ex gold, silver, clear with gold beads, black, vintage China etc.

4, Real flower centrepieces, custom design. You can send us a picture of what you would like and we will give a specific quote, for example if you had sunflower bouquets on the table that would cost $2/flower.

BOOKING TERMS

To confirm your reservation a nonrefundable, nontransferable deposit of $1500 is required.

The deposit is subtracted from the total invoice. Final payment must be paid 2 weeks prior by certified cheque

Cancellation Policy

You are responsible for notifying Lester’s Farm Chalet of any cancellations. In the case of cancelation the deposit is forfeited. 

Lester’s Farm Chalet reserves the right to cancel or reschedule an event due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control ex covid closures, natural disasters, etc.
